DBX

Dbx, Inc. is a US producer of professional audio recording equipment. It was founded by David E. Blackmer in 1971.

The company's initial objective was to "get closer to the realism of a live performance". His first products were based on the concept of using the decibel expansion that gave the company its name. Dbx is best known for the dbx noise reduction system. The dbx noise reduction system used compression when recording an audio track and a symmetrical extension during playback. They also manufactured the Model 700, a unique but short-lived studio recording system that is popular in some circles as a mastering format. Another prior product was the DeciBel eXpanded range meter, a small semiconductor meter that measured lower and stronger audio voltages than other larger contemporary voltmeters, integrated in an aluminum extrusion that was roughly The size of the meter itself.

  • Let's take a look at the construction features of the DBX 234. At first glance you will notice that the units are very beautiful, and that when you turn the control something else becomes apparent: these units are extremely well built. The controls give great precision and the feeling of solid "click" too. When you open the box you will not find an external power supply that accompanies most processors in this price range because we know how hard it can be to work with external power supplies and even if it costs a little more we put High quality power supply right into the unit.     Active filter
