It takes more than just designing, manufacturing and selling digital, analo
It's more than designing, manufacturing and selling digital, analog, semiconductor and transducer technologies to fulfill the dreams of musicians, producers and audio engineers. It takes unforgettable musical experiences. The experiences may vary. They can be as simple as playing at a local club recorded on an Alesis iMultiMix 8 USB, as familiar as a workout on an Alesis DM5 Pro kit in the basement or as memorable as the recorded Rock Tour on an Alesis ADAT.
We are dedicated to inspiring musical creativity and developing musical experiences for all our players - customers, employees, partners, suppliers and the music community in general. This is what sets Alesis apart from other manufacturers and why our brand continues to be at the forefront of professional audio and music technology.
While our products can range from keyboards, synthesizers, hard disk recorders, iPod recording and playback devices, to electronic drums, mixers, signal processors, effects units, amplifiers and the speakers, one thing remains consistent, our passion to inspire musical creativity and innovation through new technology.
The story of Alesis:
Established in 1980, Alesis was founded on innovative semiconductor chip technology and award-winning industrial designs that enabled entry-level musicians and recording artists to purchase professional studio recording products that were never affordable before. With a high value for the buck, Alesis introduced the world's first professional 16-bit effects processor under $ 1000, the Midiverb. Following Midiverb's talents, Alesis has made progress in studio-grade drum machines (HR-16 and SR-16) as well as in synthesizers, studio monitors and mixing consoles.
1991 proved to be the revolutionary year for Alesis, with the introduction of the ADAT multichannel digital video recorder. Before ADAT, a studio had to invest $ 50,000 to buy a multitrack digital recorder. With ADAT, the price has dropped to $ 4,000, allowing every home and project studio to purchase a digital recording. This new technology allowed any artist or musician to record studio-quality sound.
In 2001, Alesis was acquired by Jack O'Donnell, and since then the company has never delivered more solutions and value to musicians than ever before. Under his leadership, the company has ventured to produce the world's most affordable analog mixers with integrated digital signal processing (award-winning multi-series mixers), a full line of advanced but affordable electronic drum products (USB kit Pro, DM5 Pro Kit, SURGE Cymbals, Performance Pad), as well as highly innovative and adaptable interfaces and audio controllers (MasterControl). Alesis is committed to providing the most innovative and inspiring professional audio instruments for musicians, producers and engineers of all levels.

If there’s one secret to our enduring brand and the passion it ignites in musicians, producers and engineers, it’s that we deliver these experiences, rather than merely a collection of products and services.
